I grew up in China, where TCM practices were woven into our daily lives and traditions. I fondly remember helping my grandmother brew cooling herbal tea on hot summer days and eating stomach-soothing congee the day after a rich Chinese New Year feast. Yang-Sheng, or TCM preventative self-care, instructs us to adjust our diet and lifestyle according to the seasons and our health conditions and TCM treatments like acupuncture are used to treat disease and balance the mind, body, and spirit. The integration of TCM into our lives was so organic that many times we didn’t even realize we were practicing it. As a young adult, I moved to the United States to obtain a master’s degree in business. During school, I interned as a marketing specialist for an acupuncturist on Long Island. I was surprised to see how his patients, mostly American, embraced and were helped by TCM. After school, I moved to Boston to work as a marketing data analyst in a different field. A couple of years of working in front of a computer caused me chronic neck and back pain. All the tests from my primary care physician came back normal and they did not have much to recommend. I decided to turn to TCM. A combination of acupuncture and herbal medicine helped me tremendously and I decided to switch my career path: I wanted to help people by sharing my understanding of TCM wisdom and holistic healing. Today, I am a Licensed Acupuncturist in Arizona. I enjoy being able to bridge the gap between holistic and western medicine while providing a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which to heal. I firmly believe in integrating a range of therapies to prevent and treat disease and promote optimal health. I am passionate about helping you reach your optimal health goals, and I can't wait to walk with you through this journey

My Approach

As a TCM practitioner, I am a firm believer in taking a holistic approach to treatments. I am here to help you find balance both physically and mentally and improve your health and well-being.

Initial Intake

Since TCM treats the body as a whole, I start by checking your health history and asking you thorough health-related questions. I will take my time to listen to your struggles and concerns and answer any questions you have before proceeding to your first treatment.

*Patient information is processed in compliance with HIPAA

Tongue and Pulse

Tongue and pulse are two of the most important diagnostic tools used in TCM. I will assess their qualities during your visits.

Variances in these qualities allow me to determine whether you are in a state of excess or deficiency and which organ systems may be compromised.

Treatment

I will create and perform a customized treatment using acupuncture and a variety of TCM modalities (moxa, cupping, gua sha, electroacupuncture, ear seeds, etc) in each session. I want to not only address your current conditions but also take care of the underlying root causes.

Plan

After your first acupuncture session, you will get a clear treatment plan to show your healing path going forward. Each plan is created based on a realistic assessment of your current conditions. I will update your plan when needed as your treatment progresses and condition improves.
